Subscribing by Email (New Method)
The new email subscription is now powered by WordPress, instead of a third-party service. This is to hopefully make things easier and allow “instant” updates. More information about that can be found on this page.
Subscribing by Email (Old Method)
When you download a Chrome Extension no personal information of yours is used at all.
However, your IP Address is logged for updates, so I know how many people are using the extensions. Google Analytics is now used instead. The Chrome Extensions require the permissions they need, and no more. If you’re concern about a specific request for an extension then contact me and I shall explain why it needs that permission.
The Android Application contains no specific data about you at all. There is no log by me on downloading or updating, the Android Application itself is powered and hosted by Feed.Nu. I only control the content which is placed.
The app needs access to the internet, to download the blog posts, act as an account for the sync feature to successfully work and USB storage so it can be moved to USB.
Every now and then there is a poll to take part in. When you vote in a poll your IP address is logged to stop multiple voters on one poll, making the poll a lot fairer.
