Halloween: A time where paedophiles can finally give children sweets and fit in with the crowd.
Now, I don’t like Halloween but that’s just me. However have you realised how over the years it has lost it’s real meaning, originally young children knocked at your door dressed in the scariest costume they could get hold of and ask for a “treat” and if they weren’t given one you got your house egged. Maybe a tad extreme, yes. But it had it’s meaning.
Whereas the generation today have completely killed the spirit of Halloween, instead of “dressing the scariest” it’s “how slutty can I look tonight” or “how drunk can I get tonight” for the older ones and “how many free sweets can I get” from the younger ones, yes the sweet giving was one of the main points to Halloween, but now children “Trick or Treat” for the sweets alone and not the spirit of Halloween. Sometimes it’s even a chance of “Let’s egg this person’s house because we can”
In my eyes, the spirit of Halloween has been killed off, but maybe that’s a tad sharp? What are your views to it?
